Ron Allred has enhanced the image of Colorado Skiing and Snowboard Industry for over 35 years. He had major impact on the development of the Town of Avon and the Telluride Ski Resort. Ron worked hard in 1978 when Telluride was closing their doors, to create a new economy based on Telluride becoming a year-round mountain resort community.  Once he drove into the high alpine valley, in which Telluride is located, he fell in love and envisioned its potential and was amazed at the terrific San Juan Mountains’ spender. The company that Ron headed built a new ski mountain, golf course, airport, retail, master developer of the Mountain Village, and a unique gondola transportation system to connect the Old Town and the new Mountain Village. Ron is a visionary in the community development not only in Telluride but in the Vail Valley. Today Telluride had 14 ski lifts and 1,600 acres of skiing and snowboarding. Telluride is rated in the top ten ski resorts in North America in both Ski and Skiing Magazines. Ron’s accomplishments set deep in the world of skiing in Colorado.
